WATCH OUR CALL TO ACTION VIDEO ON HOW BYSTANDERS CAN INTERVENE WHEN
THEY SEE INCIDENTS OF ANTI-ASIAN HATE.
The country is opening back up yet Asian Americans are hesitant to go out in public, to send their children to school, and to ride public transportation. Anti-Asian violence is still continuing. The assaults against us include spitting, punching, kicking, and the murder of 6 AAPI women Atlanta, Georgia. If you see something, say something, do something! YOU can intervene in the attacks where women and the elderly are 3x as likely to be targeted. When you do nothing, you're sending a message to the perpetrators that racism and violence are okay.
WE'RE IN A MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS.
People of color bear the intergenerational trauma of racism inscribed within us. In a time of COVID-19, financial instability, systemic racism, the rise of anti-Asian Hate, and almost daily incidents of police violence and racist killings of Black, Brown and Indigenous, it's OK to be exhausted, angry, anxious, depressed.
In a time of a global pandemic, Frontline Staff + Healthcare workers of all races and ethnic backgrounds are also under severe emotional duress as they battle a deadly virus. We thank you for your service.
YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
#becool2asians is offering FREE mental health services to support 1.) folks affected by racism 2.) Frontline Healthcare workers of ANY race or ethnic background.
